Stanley Park and the Aquarium

Woke to another foggy day this morning.  Ruled out climbing the mountain and all other high site seeing adventures.  Spent most of the day in Stanley Park, a huge park in Vancouver along the sea front.  Most is uncontrolled forest with walking tracks interspersed with park areas and playing fields.  All circled by a walkway around the seawall and a loop to drive around.  First stop in the park for us was the Vancouver Aquarium, another very professional outfit, very entertaining with displays of all sorts of animals, predominantly water creatures.  All housed in very authentic natural environments.  I'll put up our usual photos then have a few shots of the animals for the children.
After the Aquarium we had a few stops around the park, got to the bridge lookout and had a very late lunch.
Went down to Gastown after lunch and wandered the area, had coffee and watched another cruise ship leave the harbour and watched and listened to the steam clock play a tune at 5pm.  Walked home, bought a couple of salad rolls for tea (we sort of miss the silver service, three course meals on the ship).  Made a couple of phone calls, had a quiet drink and packed for the start of our road trip tomorrow.
